Battlefield: ECES Party / fashion show

Last December 1, 2012 the Electronics Communication Engineering Society (ECES) of DLSU-Manila held a party at the Clamshell Tent in Intramuros with a military-themed party entitled, Battlefield. 

Two of my friends invited me to be a stylist for their fashion show. But right on the day of the event, I became the fashion stylist, a model, and the runway director for the event!

Good thing I had a little knowledge and experience on both modeling and choreographing. :))

The first part of the fashion show was the opening wherein the female will work their stuff on the runway in tanks, jackets, cut-offs, and heels. I styled these ladies in such a way that they will show skin (but not too much) and made them do a strong but sexy walk to show toughness, class, and sophistication.

For the second part of the fashion show, the models were wearing pieces from Lee, one of the major sponsors of the event. For this segment, I mixed and matched all the items given by Lee! This should also convey a military-denim theme (I based it from the trend this year)

After the event, I was called on stage for a quick interview on why I styled the models this way and what inspired me to do so. 

I just said briefly, as the stylist of the show, two of this year's trend from the Philippine Fashion Week, which was military and denim, inspired me. I combined both, and made it wearable for school especially to the students of DLSU so they'll have an idea on what to wear. 

There was of course, Mr. and Ms. Battlefield! 

And oh, I styled the lady/host on the rightmost. On the spot ;) Which turned out to be her challenge for me :)

Guiness World Record: Most People Walking on a Catwalk

Last November 29, 2012, Ayala Malls - In line with the celebration of the opening of the new Glorietta mall, they attempted to break the world record of Most People Walking on a Catwalk, and so we did! A lot Filipinos participated in this event and work hand in hand to be a part of history! 

Actually, I was supposed to be a stylist in this event. But then one of my bosses asked me to model, since I do freelance modeling. And who am I to say no to break of a world record? :) Anywho, enough chitchat!

I walked for Folded and Hung (not sporting Folded and Hung though due to some problems which occurred so we have to bring our own stuff and style ourselves as well). Nika Plana, a blogger, was the one whom we've walked with and I was in her segment.

Manila Tytana College's Eco Fashion Show 2012

Earlier this evening, I was asked to judge at the Manila Tytana Colleges for their Eco Fashion Show. Their event was mainly about creating two sets of outfits for the models made entirely out of recycled materials by their classmates. As a fashion stylist and as a judge I had to base my winners according to their creativity and overall appeal (how the recycled materials were used, how it came out, and how they presented it)

This event showed the stupendous talents of the students of the Manila Tytana Colleges. The outfits were impressive, some were even avant-garde. Not only did this event showcased the talents of the Titans but it also conveyed a message about helping our mother nature and how we can save it. 

P.S. This was my first time to judge. And it came out well :)

I would like to congratulate all the winners of this event! To the pairs who won most votes, best in denim wear, and most creative outfits! Thank you also to the student council, marketing office, and the whole staff of the Manila Tytana Colleges!

SPOTTED: Rocking her neons
